PURPOSE
The purpose of this project is to increase wastewater conveyance capacity at a lift station providing service to the City of Princeton.

BACKGROUND
PROJECT PURPOSE
• Due to continued growth at the City of Princeton, the capacity of the Princeton Lift Station No. 2 is being increased from 12 million gallons per day (MGD) to approximately 14.7 MGD by increasing the size of the pump impellers as recommended in the Princeton Conceptual Design Report, by AECOM Technical Services, Inc. (AECOM) dated February 2024.

This is a sole-sourced procurement item. The consulting engineer, AECOM, reviewed the proposal from FCX Performance Inc., dba Pierce Pump Company (Pierce Pump Company), for completeness and cost comparison to the OPCC. Based on the submitted proposal and AECOM’s previous experience with the Pierce Pump Company on other projects, it is AECOM’s opinion that Pierce Pump Company is experienced and qualified to perform the work necessary to complete this project. Furthermore, Pierce Pump Company is the only local authorized supplier for the existing Vaughan Pumps and has a local maintenance shop to perform the work.
Based on the evaluated proposal and the information provided, the NTMWD staff and AECOM Technical Services, Inc. recommend award of the agreement to FCX Performance Inc., dba Pierce Pump Company.
FUNDING
Funding in the amount of $262,892 to FCX Performance Inc., dba Pierce Pump Company, is available in the Upper East Fork Interceptor System Construction Funds.
