recommendation
Authorize funding in the amount of $2,737,600 to AECOM Technical Services, Inc. for an engineering services agreement (ESA) for preliminary design of the Leonard to Princeton Pipeline project.

PURPOSE

Projected growth in the North System is expected to challenge the current capacity to deliver water efficiently and reliably from the Wylie Water Treatment Plant to the City of Princeton. The purpose of this project is to provide a reliable second source of treated water into the North System from the Leonard Water Treatment Plant to meet the projected demands.

RECOMMENDATION

The Executive Director and NTMWD staff recommend the Board of Directors authorize the Executive Director to execute an engineering services agreement (ESA) as follows:

BACKGROUND

The current and forecasted growth within the North and East Systems increases the demand and necessitates additional capacity be supplied by the Leonard Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to supplement Wylie WTP in the near-term demands.
